Magazine Table - Better than an end table
Author: John Sullivan
A magazine table is great way to reduce clutter and keep your magazines and newspapers stored neatly. You can keep past issues organized and categorized with some of the different storage configurations that a magazine table offers.
Magazine tables can be more useful than, and just as decorative as, an accent table or end table. They are generally placed next to a sofa or chair in the family room, den or library, but can be placed just about anywhere in the house someone wants to sit and read. A magazine table is perfect for businesses to use in their lobbies or waiting rooms to help keep the space organized and professional looking.
Magazine tables come in a wide selection of design styles and storage configurations. Some are as simple as a table top with a rack underneath. Most come with an inner storage compartment or drawers or a combination of the two and usually with a rack on the side. Some may come with a removable top for a little extra storage. They are available in a variety of materials such as wood, wrought iron, stainless steel or some sort of combination of these materials. This allows the table to be easily used as a complementary piece to the rest of the furniture within the room. Start your research online and determine the best size and configuration of table you will need. If you have a traditional and warm interior then something made of wood might work best. If you have sleek and modern furniture then you may prefer stainless steel. A wrought iron magazine table would go great with Italian or Spanish design elements in the house.
A magazine table is multi-functional and a great piece of furniture to keep your magazines, newspapers, books and other reading materials neatly you will need and want. Determine the type of material and finish you need to match you existing furniture and what your budget is. You may find a greater selection of magazine tables online but you can still buy them at some department stores where you will be able to physically see and touch them.
